The first thing I noticed when working on this best seller list was that January Top 5 is exact copy if December 2011 Top 5. The only thing that is different are the prices.
The battle for the best entry level price point is on again – Oral B 1000 vs Philips Sonicare Essence 5300. Both brushes are down 10 dollars since the last month and you can find them online for $45-50.
There is one more brush you can get for less than 50 bucks – Philips Sonicare for Kids toothbrush. The price has gone up for five dollars but it is still around 49 bucks if you look in the right places. If your kid still has not his own Philips Sonicare, it might be a good moment to make a purchase.
Now I had a dilemma. I noticed a stranger in position 9. The name of this stranger is Oral B Vitality Floss Action Rechargeable Power toothbrush and it is remarkable because of its price of $29. I was looking for a reason to exclude it from the bestseller list because…well because it is too cheap! But it still is a rechargeable power toothbrush, so it deserves the spot in the list.
Soon I will present a comparison review where I will try to find out the differences between Oral B 1000 and Oral B Vitality Floss Action brushes and the reasons to chose one or another.
